This was a case of a fully submerged iPhone 5s in the toilet. Toilet phones are something we deal with often. The customer had the iphone in rice for a few days which did not help remove water or corrosion. Data recovery on this device was important because of the value of the photos. Our soldering technician cleans the board with dedicated equipment and chemicals to remove any liquid or corrosion. Once clean the board components are inspected for damage. In this case after the cleaning the board did come on, but the image was blurry and the touch on the phone did not work. The digitizer FPC connector was replaced along with components on the back of the board that were also related to touch. Once repaired our technician was able to sync the phone to itunes and make a complete backup of the phone so that it could be loaded on to the customers new iphone.

This tv had a shorted IC chip and capacitor. We were able to replace both within a couple days and repair this TV for less than half of what it would cost to replace it.

A shorted iPhone 6 backlight is usually caused by poor installation of the new display. Either the battery was not disconnected when the LCD FPC was making contact to the board or the solder joints for the backlight of the display are exposed and can be shorted when making contact with metal.

This filter is FL2024 and you can usually tell if it is shorted by a brown discoloration on the chip. Or you can use a multimeter to test for continuity.

This is a repair we do often and usually completed the same day.

This Macbook Air came to us completely dead from being fully submerged in a bathtub. State of the art cleaning equipment is used to remove corrosion. This device had been repaired multiple time. Motor wires were cut. Potentiometer for ball feed was not giving the correct voltage for speed control.

This is a common repair for the LG G3. Very difficult solder work because of the many anchor points, but a repair that our Solder Technician does often.

This iPhone came in unresponsive due to contact with liquid. The board had corrosion on capacitor C5202_RF which PP_VCC_MAIN flows through. This component was removed and replaced restoring power to the logic board.

Macbook Pro 13 inch Early 2012 model. Liquid was spilled on the keyboard and the computer would no longer turn on or boot. Voltage for the power rail PPBUS_G3H was not present. Q5300 had a pin that was burnt. We removed it, retinned the pad and replaced the component to repair the logic board to working order. We were able to repair the board for less than half of what Apple inc. charges and we warranty it for twice as long.

Tv was pulled from wall mount without unplugging coaxial cable. The RCA F Connector was ripped from the main board. Buy another TV? NO WAY! Repair it. By repairing your TV you can save more than half the cost of replacing your TV. If it can be repaired, it should be repaired. If you do not want to repair your tv then donate it for recycle so that it can be refurbished and be put back into use instead of a landfill. A lot of times the repair surpasses the manufactures specifications and will last you longer.

This flat iron no longer heated. A joint was broken at the heating element. Element was replaced and unit is working again.

Sony Playstation HDMI Port Repair. The HDMI port was removed and replaced by our APR Certified Micro Soldering Experts.

Here is a severely corroded charging port for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Pads were severed and needed jumper wires to go from the pad to the pins.

This is a common repair for the iPhone 6s from other repair shops. You can see the solder ball that blows through the underfill when the backlight filter blows. Once the underfill is removed we test the filter for continuity to confirm that it is bad.

This USB drive was damaged from being hit while the plugged into the computer. Two pads on the board were lifted and completely severed. The traces were broken. Apple Pie Repair’s soldering technician in Lafayette, La was able to run a jumper wire from one pin to the inline resistor. For the other severed pin, which is ground, the tech exposed the ground level near by and was able to float solder from the pin to ground.
