Apple Gets Bit - Class Action Lawsuit

Here we go again..Remember the days when we had unlimited data on our cellular plans? And when our carriers like AT&T and verizon switched away from unlimited data we were told, "You're never going to need 2GB of Data." But as smartphones develop and become more advanced, they have become the number one used device for web browsing and media, leaving the desktop or laptop in second place. As 2GB became barely enough then we were told, "You're never going to need 4GB." Well now I'm at a 10GB plan.Apple's iOS 9 feature Wi-Fi Assist has been a big discussion since it's release. This is feature is turned on by default and automatically switches the users iPhone to cellular data when the Wi-Fi signal it's connected to is weak. Apple seems to be using this "default" option on a lot of their features lately. It's their, "It's our way or the hiway" was of thinking.The new iOS 9's feature is Apple's attempt to create a smooth user experience, but a lot of users have complained that the feature has greatly increased the data usage on their cellular plan taking them over their monthly data limit. Apple admitted that users should only see a "small percentage" hike in data usage.The lawsuit states that Apple did not clearly explain the feature until the media covered the many user complaints.Wi-Fi assist is available on all Apple devices currently running iOS 9 or later, except for the iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, iPhone 2, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3 and the 1st generation iPad mini.To turn off the Wi-Fi Assist feature you can go to:Settings - Cellular (scroll down to the bottom to turn the feature off)And as always, if you need any help in store or chat support you can contact us at www.ApplePieRepair.com.
